Allen Racing - About Us

Allen Racing L.L.C. was started in 2007 by Terry and Tyler Allen. Operating out of Bellevue, WA. Allen Racing is made up of a single car race team competing in South Sound Speedway's Quality Car Care Limited Late Model Series. Currently the primary focus of our company is backing Tyler in his pursuit for a career in auto racing.

In terms of the future, we would like to continue to grow Allen Racing as a local race team. We would also like to focus our efforts in the future towards racing related product design and development.


The car is a 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo Late Model Stock Car. Under the hood is a 400 horsepower crate motor from GM running on a mixture of premium gasoline and high octane racing fuel. At South Sound Speedway the Limited Late Models run at speeds exceeding 115 mph so the car is outfitted with top of the line safety equipment..

Tyler

Tyler is responsible for driving and maintain the car on a daily basis. When not racing he is heavily focused on his education. Tyler is a senior in the engineering school at the University of Washington pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Along with racing the late model, he is a member of the University of Washington Formula SAE, student run race team. To learn more about Tyler and his experience click here to see his resume.


As the owner of Allen Racing, Terry is responsible for a number of administrative duties as well as maintenance support. On race weekends he is in charge of overseeing the crew operations and spotting for Tyler when he is on the track. Terry has two years of racing experience and and two years as a late model crew chief and spotter.

Crew

John Allen – John is primarily responsible for tires, lap times, and other maintenance during race weekends. John has a number of years experience both working on, and driving different styles of race cars.

Alex Missal – Alex is primarily responsible for recording the data collected after each practice session and race. He is also involved in the weekly maintenance of the car. Alex is a full time student at Western Washington University pursuing a degree in project management.
